Host problem

Last few days my little blog had to go through a host problem. that is reason why most of you are not able to access this place. Looks like now it is pretty ok.

Life is moving on at a hectic pace here. Will post more tomorrow on several new happenings @ I.

The AHA Effect!

There are fairs. And then there are fairs. Then there is UtsAHA. to beat all of them hands down.

UtsAHA is the reason for the inactivity in my blog. For the last 3-4 days half of IIM Indore are working like dogs to make this marketing fair happen. The concept of UtsAHA is simple. It is a marketing fair for outside people visiting us. It is a disguised marketing survey for those of us who are conducting it. We do projects for very big clients to find out more about their customers by letting them play games and speak their heart out.

This year UtsAHA happened on Jan 15th and 16th. 2 days. I had a very good time these 2 days. A welcome break from otherwise hectic schedule of term3. Atleast that is what I thought on 15th at 12:10. But the work was so much that many people didn’t get decent 2 hours of sleep before rushing to the venue. I was lucky to get a 5 hour sleep.

Entire Day1 I was busy with my team mates conducting a disguised customer survey for a telecom giant. All in all interacted with 80 odd people and spent atleast 5 mins with each of them. Managed to create a stinking smell from my feet. stayed alive till I came back to my room. The only relief came in the form of dinner at Nafees from 10:20 to 11:20. :)

Day2 started little late since we have our stalls ready and all we need to do is to go there and start the laptops. After a gruelling 40 mins bike ride I reached the stalls. Crowd has started coming by then. After 1.5 hours time I left to get some lunch. This time it was Rambabu Ke Parathe. Awesome place for getting all types of parathas. Then back in the venue the games were going full swing. Sometime around 7 we got the required number of responses and we closed the registration for the games. Then started the entertainment programmes and events. All in all day2 has seen far more and far better(interms of fair sex :P) crowd.

To say the least UtsAHA is a memorable experience. definitely I came to know about hell lot of things. But again that is another blog, another day.

To wrap up. I am alive and kicking. It is just that I am enjoying my busy work schedule little too much to take time out to blog. Will definitely write the GD/PI thing I promised in a couple of days time. tillde then Tada!

Happy Sankranti

Busy

There is better way to start the term than getting busy like hell before the first class. That is what i have been through in the last 2 days. and to be frank i still have lot of work. Looks like by the time i clear all the deadlines and emerge free to think on what and how to blog it will be quite sometime. the earliest date on which i can publish the promised article on GD/PI is 17th Jan. but I will try to get it done asap. so please stick around.

some of the things about which i want(ed) to blog these days are,
- teaching styles of profs.
- learnings from term2
- what we have in term3

Lets see if i can put them on notepad and publish by the end of next week.

Tada!

Time of my life

lo… here comes the post on how I spent the last 10 days. Just one word to summerize it all. WONDERFUL.

I spent the first 5 days of vacation with my fiancee. We both had great time together roaming in Indore and eating out.

Then I left to my hometown machilipatnam. I reached my place on 3rd afternoon. From that moment I became the forecrawler for the laziness MTV awards 2005. Seriously I did nothing but eating and watching TV. everytime I thought of the books I carried my in my bag I convinced myself by saying “chandoo, vacation is meant for spending time with oneself and ones near and dear ones. dont spoil it by reading books or doing something really serious :D”. Well, whether faulty or not the logic worked. I managed to get the books back unruffled.

Talking about the time spent in home I cant tell you how much I enjoyed the food this time. I have become little crazy after continued doses of rotis and breads for 3 prolonged months. I dint even tough a single grain of wheat during those 4 days. My mom insisted that I should have chapati for breakfast on one day. She prepares them very well. But I said a firm no. Aah at the mere thought of idlis, bujjis, chutneys, pappus my mouth is watering.

after the omnipresent gastric lust there is little that can be said about the vacation. Of those insignificant things the most bloggable thing is the menacing visual entertainment I had. Actually there is nothing entertaining about it except the interval part. You guessed it right. I am talking about the movies here. I have seen 2 movies in the vacation. One is a telugu remake of Munnabhai MBBS. The other is a telugu dub of so called realistic tamil file 7/g Rainbow colony. The later one is little too real to be believed. The first one is not really boring basically because of the charismatic Chiru in the lead role.

barring the movies and mouthwatering dishes and high quality time spent with parents and relatives I have nothing to say about the vacation.

Now back here on the Hanuman Tekri things started moving. The timetable is already in the inbox. The books in the shelves. The enthu is back in full form. Hope this term goes like a breeze (:P). Will write more blogs in these 2 days on several things in my mind.

Tada!

bah’k

Just now came back from the long and wonderful vacation. this place(insti) feels really cold. High time i dragged myself under the sheet for a couple of hours.

will write more after i am done with my registration process today :)

Tada!

on Vacation

Hi readers…

I will be on vacation from yesterday. seriously i am on vacation. so i wont be updating this space.

Read this story from Kiruba. very touching indeed. The message is clear. Please help the victims by watever extent you can. It does make a difference. :)

One early morning, an old man noticed a young boy at a beach picking up something and dropping it in the ocean. On closer look, he realised that there were thousands of starfish washed ashore on the beach. When the sun would rise, most of these will die on the hot sand. The young boy patiently picked up as many as he could and dropped it into the sea.

The old man approached the boy and said, “There are many thousands of them on the shore. What differece can you make? Go home, boy”.

The young boy picked up a starfish and then looked at the old man,”Sir, I may not be able to make a difference to all the thousands. But I sure will make a difference to this starfish”. So saying, he calmly walked to the sea and released the starfish into the sea.
