Presented Propaganda and Other Stories
One after another, they all came just after us. When Anoop (my groupmate) told me to wear formals to the class since we have a presentation to make, little did I imagined what the situation would be. After first two presentations it became clear that staying awake throughout 19 presentations each of them lasting for 10-15 mins is not an easy task. Of all the things on the earth the presentations were on group dynamics, people profiles, organizational assessment, blah blah blah etc. I can tell you, this stuff is seriously boring. You just cant consume more than 5 words a day. Imagine hearing something like,
“The organization is growing organically. Sustainability of such growth in an amorphous environment will lead the organization to achieve excellence in employee satisfaction and optimal use of used plastic plates.”
Worse still imagine yourself saying the same to 50 odd people and make them clap at the end of all this. Ah! it wasnt easy at all. To add to all this our group managed to overshoot time by a considerable margin. Not to mention the fact that the classmates didnt receive this free airtime offer with open hands.
So after what looked like 5 hours and 57 voices and 100 odd slides and hazaar doze offs my head started spinning when the class finally broke. With a heavy head and painful body I came back to my room. After a short break I left for the group dinner.
Actually Shadab (the other groupmember) wanted to go for a movie. I convinced him in “having a good time sitting together for longtime over a nice drink and food and chatting to the glory” and we are finally at “Silver Oak” by 9. It was great fun. We indulged shamelessly in poultry (ahem, ahem), vodka, ice cream, chinese and desi food items. It was good fun talking as if there is no QT project in life.
Just now I came back to hostel after a wonderful ride through chilly Indore roads. Me planning to catch “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron” now. And looks like my item # 1,2 and 3 will pretty much be satisfied by tomorrow. :d
