Can you provide some detail about the complexity of the course? Is this a program designed for persons w/ extensive modeling experience or is it more for people not yet comfrotable building financial models from scratch?
I work with very complex models now and consider myself an advanced excel user, so consequently I do not want to go through a program that does not assume you already have advanced formula knowledge and atleast some model design skills.
Dear Chandoo,
1.Are these pre-recorded session ?? as it is said you start learning as when you singn up OR
Are these courses are in person classes conducted in any city in india or outside india ??
2.How financial modelling would be different from project financing .Does project financing deals with whether as how to make decision through modeling as whether to go for debt or equity for project financing ??
I agree with comment from Chris. Please rate the complexity of the course.
@Chris, Vivian: The course on Financial Modeling helps you build a model with intermediate level of difficulty. The model is built over 15 sheets. Starts from the basic part and ends up implementing a dashboard and advanced techniques like Monte Carlo Simulation. The project finance model is slightly more complex (21 sheets) and again has some more components as compared to the financial modeling class. To get an idea of the kind of model, you can take a look at the model uploaded on: http://www.edupristine.com/blog/linkedin-competition-results-announced. The detailed Table of contents for the course can be seen in the presentation uploaded on the course page above.
@Pankaj: These are pre recorded training programs. We do run these training programs in India an Singapore as well. The financial modeling training takes FMCG sector case study and builds the model from corporate finance perspective and values the company. The Project finance course builds a complete model for a project (Real Estate Sector) and helps you evaluate the project returns and valuation. It also builds the model for financing (Debt and Equity)
Thank you. I will register for the class this week.
