TUESDAY
Day 2️⃣
We will explore Data Cleanup, Data Modeling & DAX
You will learn:
- Data cleanup and transformations with PQ
- Using implicit vs. explicit measures (DAX)
- Setting up a star schema data model
- How to create a complex business report from scratch with Power BI

Day 3️⃣
More DAX, Power Query and Interactive story-telling.
You will learn:
- How to create a complex business report from scratch with Power BI (contd.)
- Mocking up and designing business reports
- Using DAX functions like CALCULATE, ALL, FILTER & Date intelligence functions
- Creating interactive tool-tips

THURSDAY
Day 4️⃣
Visual Story-telling with Power BI
You will learn:
- Setting up Bookmarks to make interactive reports
- Using Drill-through
- Using DAX to generate narrative statements for your reports (also smart narratives)
- Data refresh and modifications with Power Query

Who is this training for?
This training is perfect for Power BI beginners & intermediate users. If you work in a data profession (data analyst, reporting analyst or similar) and need to use Power BI on a regular basis, you will find this training extremely valuable.
How this is training is run?
This training will be thru a Zoom video session. You will be able to see my presentation & explanations as well as share your audio (and screen if you want) when asking questions.
What software do I need?
You need Power BI Desktop software (latest version) to follow along. You also need Zoom to join the class & ask questions.
You can watch the recordings on any video player.
What topics are covered?
This training covers Power BI report creation and data analysis at in-depth level. You will get plenty of detail on Power Query, Power Pivot, visual formatting and interactive aspects.

Do I need any prior skills?
You don’t need any previous Power BI skills or experience. But you do need basic data skills in platforms such as Excel or SQL. You also need some experience in working with data.
Can I ask questions?
The session will be highly interactive. You will have lots of opportunities to share your experiences or ask questions.
What if I can’t attend part of the training?
It is highly recommended that you plan to attend all 5 days. While you can watch the recording, you will miss out on the interaction and break-out sessions.
