Excel may have also added a start up default path to the Shortcut you use to start Excel

Right click on the Shortcut, select Properties


Look in the Start In directory for xl5galry.xls


If that doesn't help It could also be set in the registry or by an Excel Addin


If you find the file xl5galry.xls rename it to xl5galry.xls.orig temporarily

Just in case Excel 2010 etc still needs it

Did some searching and found files located in Crogram FilesMicrosoft Office 15rootoffice15xlstart, would have saved some time by waiting for the board to publish still we learn, have deleted file and Excel Office 365, Office 15, Excel 2013 now opens up without the annoyance

Did we done something wrong by removing XL5GALRY.XLS..

As it opens a blank Window with no ActiveSheet, and then the desired File which I double Click to open.. There was two TAB in my Taskbar where I have opened only one File..

Just found Chart Filters!

Setup a chart and then you can interactively filter the chart by Category or Name

Great addition where you want to display a chart but not show all data for a reason, as it saves you deleting the series and re-adding it

Also some good changes to Chart Series Legends, which can now have Callouts, Leader Lines and be linked to a range of cells




Still Can't Link the Axis Max/Min to cells though

hi,


i turn off animation when scroll/moving from one cell to another is :

- click start, right click on computer choose properties

- go to advanced systems setting

- choose Advanced, click settings on performance

- then on Visual Effects click Custom then unclick Animate controls and elements inside windows


now i have smooth moving like excel 2010 from one cell to another cell
