Hi All,

Could anybody help solve this issue.

I am using Excel 2010.

When opening a file, I get this error message : "Excel found unreadable content in 'file name.xlsm'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.

and when I click on Yes, I get another info box:

Removed Records: Object from /xl/printerSettings/printerSettings1.bin part(Print Options).

Please help to remove this error. Thanks.

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

This is a long shot...

Goto the Data Connections Tab and check your data connections

they may not be pointing to the right locations

Maybe even remove them if you can

Hi Hui,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I checked the Data Connections. The Workbook connections are empty and the problem persists.

Thanks.

Not yet, the problem seems to stem from some objects, macros, etc, Once all these are gone from the excel sheet, the problem is resolved but the functionality reduces. Hui did remove the objects, but when inserted again the problem starts. I read somewhere that we need to wait until next release of Excel. Hope this problem gets resolved.
