Torn edged paper style for the cell borders

I am working on a presentation. I need my cell borders to look like the torn edged paper styled/ rough edged for one of the header cell where I can fill the contents in it. Is it possible in Excel 2007 or 2010? Thank you all.
 
Sir, Could you please explain how can we add zig zag lines to a range.

I searched this in Insert - Shapes - Lines, but could not get Zig Zag.

I was interested in Chandoos lesson on how to get torn paper effect and followed his steps but when I get to the crop stage this is greyed out in both 2010 and 2013, any one ideas as to why,...........but crop works on pictures??

You have to make the Zig Zag yourself using the Insert, Shapes, Scribble Line type
 
I found that if I do all, shape, shadow, line place over the data table and then save it by selecting all, the data and shape with the snipping tool and save as a jpeg then I can insert in to any document, excel, word etc, and then crop as required.

However these scribble lines are not perfect offcourse that is my fault.

The image in link mentioned by you has perfect torn lines.


Is there any way to replicate this in excel also, I have no idea about Paint.Net.

Is it necessary to have Paint.Net to get the perfect lines.

Hi. This is a really cool effect. But it is not as straight forward as the instructions given here (http://img.chandoo.org/pers/second.png) suggest. It would have been helpful if more specific instructions were given related to having to copy the image into paint in order to do the cropping. This was not up to the high standards associated with most Chandoo tips and tutorial.

I was wondering if I should answer or not... After a while I decided to be polite, gentle and helpful.


IMHO I firmly believe that the author of the article supposed its lectors'd have been aware of many of the usual shortcuts not only used in Excel but in Windows environment, if not most or all.


Being this site an Excel blog, it isn't wild to assume that people who arrive here have a basic knowledge of standard features regarding copying, cutting, pasting, text or images, from and between standard applications (Notepad, Paint, i.e.). And if not, it's always open (and I should say welcome and promptly answered) the chance to ask non-Excel questions -even if not desirable if very frequent- on a variety of subjects from Access and SQL to PC configurations to other non-MS software... and to PrtScr/Alt-PrtScr/Ctr-C/Ctrl-V issues.


Regarding my last word in my first paragraph I'd like you to give a look to the following links which I hope would be of reference for future use:

Just how much do you need the holding of hand and walking through, it says quite clearly that you need to crop, it does not say you have to use paint. If you are unsure and need more help than ask!! that is why the board members are here.. to help. You have come over as belligerent and I am sure you did not intend to offend the volunteers or the Chandoo site
 
I just happened across this site this morning while looking for a torn edge picture style. I am an expert excel user (used excel since 1995) and the instructions were a little off...but I figured it out. I didn't think that @Rsavage1 was belligerent (defined as "hostile, ready to start a fight, or ready to go to war" according to Webster). I think electronic communication tends to be cold and easy to miss-interpret with your filter. Sometimes when you've had bad day, your interpretation filter is a little off. anyway - Still good tip. I'm new to Chandoo, so I cant speak to their usual standards.

Only thing I will say is , if I (user) have completed the task then where is the confusion.
