Stacked chart with gradient fill

Hi All,


Is there any way by which we can do the gradient filling in stacked charts?


Example :

There are 5 data series stacked one on another in different colour but requirement is to start bottom series with RED colour and move towards green for the top stacked series.

Hi kuldeepjainesl,


For given no. of series that is in your case its five you can format them as gradient. Select each series and format it for a color so that it looks like a gradient change. Every time you add a new series you will have to do this for it.

This is manual, if I need to make large number of charts, and also the series numbers will vary, this would won't work.

Have you tried using a Chart Template?


Setup the first chart with all the fill and other formatting you want

Select the chart

Goto Chart Tools, Design, Save as Template menu

Enter a name and save

You can now select other charts and apply this template to those charts
