Progress Chart for Road works

Hi,

while i changed the input data in the attached manner, observed that Last entry code (i.e. "SG-TOP FDD") is being reflected as "top layer".

But in actual, My top layer is "SH-GRANULAR" as shown in sheet "Order of priority"

With input data given in attached file, The output in column CO - CR of "output" sheet has to be " 1. 26970 - 27280 BC "

Have You read my messages #42?
That order has told with 'data input'!
If You make steps: 1st DBM, 2nd BC and 3rd C&C ( no matter if possible or not!)
Then the top layer is C&C!
If You make steps: 1st BC, 2nd C&C and 3rd DBM, then the top layer is DBM!
If one year later step BC-CORE, then it will be the top layer!
If one year later step C&C, then it will be the top layer!
or is it BC-CORE? no way !
or do You really mean that after SH-GRANULAR, it will be ALWAYS the top layer?
... no matter what ever needs to work after that ...
if so, then this is 'Mission impossible!'
and You should ask 'Tom Cruise' to solve this!

Hi,

While working with Strip chart, I have encountered a mistake in Sl no.2 of column "CP" of output sheet.

For the given input, the output should have been like this

1. 31345 - 31970 - DBM-CORE
2. 31970 - 32640 - DBM

But From chainage in Sl no:2 is showing as 31975 instead of 31970.


i could not sort out the issue and finally turned to you.

You ended this case then it was in preview-mode.
That means, even I haven't check code.
Preview really means preview,
then there not necessary be real results.
I changes one thing and that part should work better now.

... hint: I'm not so sure,
that is it good idea to add some shapes 'outside of my code'.
Of course, You can do so.
There are like rules, how do 'my code' work with shapes.
actually not only 'my code made shapes', all possible shapes.
You could get easy the endless loop.
or
few thousands extra shapes,
which have to delete manually one-by-one.

Hi,

Pl check the output, In Sl No.1 of Column CO, the data is

9890 to 11410 DBM (This is OK)

In Sl No.2, the data is

20220 to 20840 BC.

I have observed an error "between 11410 to 20220 the data is not showing".
where as the data is shown in columns BS to CC & Top layer strip chart is shown correctly.

Missing data in Column CO is:-

12020 to 13080 DBM

20190 to 20220 DBM.

The term 'error' is wrong.
This code is not ready!

Hello Friends,

Am very happy for being a member in this group. Since so many years am hardly trying to find out the easy process for preparing/update strip chart like this but i was failed :(

Luckily i found this forum through Google.

here is my problem

am using the same file for updating status of Highways as well as for RCC Cover drains also just by changing headings in output sheet. But the problem is in some locations the top level showing DBM & BC (if i use for highways or drains) at column co.

if i am using this file for RCC Cover drain status, in this whole document am not mentioned any where such as DBM or BC in this file. But still on LHS side it is showing in some locations are as DBM & BC are the top levels. on RHS it is not showing top level as a BC & DBM.

i think on RHS side is pretty good for accurate update.
but on LHS side needs some correction for more accurate output.

the file is enclosed for reference.

Please help me in this regard.

yes am following the sequence for data input and the same code name also changing in the strip chart heading (in Output tab)

Am very comfortable with this strip chart.

only if there is no status given in my input but still it shows me DBM & BC. If u check the same chainages of DBM & BC which is showing in top layer you cant find those chainages in my input.
 
1) Did You press 'BOXES' before cleared old data from sheets?
2) ReRead #57 Reply. This was not ready! This is not ready!
There can still be some interesting 'things'. I found one!

I aware about reply no 57. for your information the file which I was enclosed in reply no 62 has downloaded from reply no. 60
And one more thing i observed tmp sheet. In that there is "13.5", "Valid Overlapping" & "Scale" may i know what are those things needs to be use??
If i need this strip chart with 50m or 100m interval can i change that? if possible how & where?

Thank you Mr. Ashok because the first person who asks for the strip chart in this forum. Because of you today i got an extra ordinary strip chart with help of Mr. Vletm. Thank you to both of you. :)
 
"13.5" is so called Y-scale fixing 'scale'.
It depends which Excel-version You're using.
Maybe now those 'boxes' look to be in correct position, but if You change another Excel-version maybe needs to fix Y-scale manually.
"Valid Overlappings" ...
Normally there are not 'overlaps' with 'data inputs' but
If needed two or more 'data input' From-To always overlaps with other row information like From 10+000 .. 12+000 and next row 11+000 .. 13+000 then there is possible to accept (make valid overlapping) those rows.
"50m or 100m" interval:
Many things are possible, but it would need hours of work.
... and more more hours with testing.

I want to add some extra layers.
How can i add this in strip chart?

1st sentence - okay.
2nd - If I remember about 2yrs old code
... extra layers would be a challenge. Do You need to use all 'old' layers?
3rd - You can add, but it won't work without hours and hours coding.
 
Ok Sir,

You have any new this type of format (strip chart) which helps me in Road (Highway & Structures Work) monitoring.
