That should clearly show you ther various phases.
Beyond a Chart your company must/should have some criteria which define the various stages. Have you asked your supervisors or peers what they do to ascertain these points
Sales are sort of like Distance/speed/Acceleration
You can woork out the change in sales on a month by month basis (Speed)
then the Change in Change in Sales (Acceleration)
You probably want when the Acceleration is 0(Flat), changes to Positive(Growth) changes back to Negative(Decline)
