Multiple cell range highlight based on the time of the day during an event

I'm working on a schedule in Excel 2003 that is supposed to highlight the event happening on a given time of the day, namely music competitions.

After the time is passed (time frames ranging from 10 to 30 min according to different sets of columns), the next range of cells underneath will highlight while the one that is over goes back to it's original color... And so on until the end of the day.

Is it possible to do so without having to revert to VB, which is like Chinese to me.

Try conditional formatting

have a browse thru http://chandoo.org/wp/2008/03/13/want-to-be-an-excel-conditional-formatting-rock-star-read-this/

I read this before posting my question. I don't know how to write my formula, I've never worked with time formatted cells before in Excel and don't know where to start.

Can you please list a few cells and there contents

ie:

D5 Start Time of Range

D6 End Time of Range

F5 Time Now

H5 Cell you want formated

or what ever else you have
