How to show only a few series in a legend

I have inserted a pie chart and I have 53 items which are being shown in the legend of a pie chart, how can I minimize it to only 3 items in the legend.

53 items in a pie?


Anyhow, you can delete the legend and then add just 3 text boxes and color them accordingly. See here to get an idea - http://chandoo.org/wp/2010/04/08/smart-chart-legends/
 
I'd be inclined to do two things:


1. Any value under about 5% of the total value group together and call them "Other", that should get you back to a manageable number of items

2. Select the Legend, then select the individual item you don't want in the legend and press the Delete button, Repeat until Happy

If we have 90 items, that would be very time consuming. I will try your first solution.
