N NARAYANK991 Excel Ninja Oct 31, 2013 #3 Hi , If you have Excel 2010 and later , you can use the AVERAGEIF function , otherwise , you can simulate its behaviour by using a combination of AVERAGE and IF , entering it as an array formula , using CTRL SHIFT ENTER. This is described here : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5325503/excel-average-if Read all the answers , especially the one which points out possible error results. Narayan
