Highlighting Current Month in a Chart

In this chart, you will notice that a Shape has been inserted to highlight the current month which is December. I would like to automate this highlighting part, so that I don’t need to slide the shape and fix it over the current month. Kindly teach me how to do that please?

I am also using emailing this chart using a macro (included in the sample chart). If you test this macro you may notice that everything will be working fine except the shape which will be missing in the GBC Cash Flow 2011.gif. Why it is happening please?

You could make it dynamic like this:

Or, you could set it up as 2 series, 1 as the "current month", and the other as all the other months.
