hi this is ryan,

I want to hide my formula. I know how to hide it, but when ever I am hiding it I am unable to work there. I can edit cells. To edit I need to unprotect again. Can you help me how can I work in my sheet hiding the formulas. I m using office 2003.

Hi Ryan,

main purpose of Hiding Formula is to protect it..

I think its not possible to edit the formula without viewing it.. :)

You can do one thing..

* Place the formula is somewhere else.. lets say "AB1".. Hide that column.. and dont make it LOCKED,

* in your proposed area.. just use Reference of that cell.. Lets say in B1 write formula "=AB1", set B1 as Locked & Hidden..

So..

1> Formula is hidden.

2> Actual formula is hidden as AB column is hidden..

3> If you need to change formula.. un-hide AB Column.. No Need of password as AB column is not locked.

is it acceptable!!!

Deb
