I have column of URLs like http://www.xyz.com/abcdefgh. I want to drop all the text after the .com/ so that I just have http://www.xyz.com. Is there a way to do this? I tried using the MID function but since all the URLs are of different length I am not able to apply this across the entire column.
I am sure there is a very easy fix but can't get around to it!
BTW: I am a new reader of your blog and I think it is fabulous and so useful. I love all things excel and always trying to find tips and tricks to do things faster!
