Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to use form controls. The topic Form Controls – Adding Interactivity to Your Worksheets explains how to create the controls. Where can I find simple examples about how to apply or use each control in text format?

I have had a look at this YouTube video (link below) . I would like to see something like this in text form - preferably with simpler examples.

Form Controls allow the interactivity of a control with a cell
Some place values of either True/False or numeric values into the cells

What you do is entirely up to you!

Can you post a file with a sample of what you want and what you want to retrieve/achieve?

I am writing a tutorial on how to use form controls. I want to first explain how the control is created (I know how to do this). Then, I want to teach how to apply it using a simple example.

The examples I'm able to search for seem pretty complex. I want a simple scenario in which I can use each of the form controls - one scenario in which a check box is used, another where a button is used and so on...

Hope what I need help with is clear. Thank you.
 
Why not setup a dummy set of data eg: A simple cashflow
A list of costs 2 Fixed and 2 Variables
Total cost
A list of Revenues x 2
Total revenue
Profit (revenue - costs)

Then in each example attach one of the Form Controls to an Input
and vary that to see how it changes the outputs

By using the same sample data the students will become familiar with the structure and then it is only the variance that you need to explain
 
Unfortunately, I do not have that level of expertise. If I can get a simple example of each type to look at, I can use similar ones....
