I need to compare the material from the file given in the link.

I want to compare the Materials mentioned in the column A is available in B ..? is yes Changed the color of that cell.


I know that I can’t get the exact matched materials name but at least can I get the relatively a very closed one’s ..?

New Rule

Use a Formula

=SUMPRODUCT(--(LEFT($B:$B,5)=(LEFT(A2,5))))

Select a format

Apply


You can change the values of 5 on either side of the = to higher or lower values

Hi Hui I was able to see that something is getting changed but i am not able to access the file its getting struck...not responding properly..

Are you using Excel or Google Docs?

I am using excel 2007 but i saved the files as 2003 so i was able to get the conditional formatting done. Thank you soooo much and being so kind to me.
