Sorry , but I am not able to devote the time required to explain starting from scratch ; the basics are easily accessible ; a separate sheet tab Sheet3 has the data from which the chart has been made.


The list of candidates in the drop-down in K2 , has been generated using a pivot table in Sheet4 ; in order to have the list of candidates in the proper sorted order , an additional column called Candidate Number has been added to your data table in Sheet1
.


The other parameters displayed along with the chart are through formulae which are straightforward ; if you have any doubts on specific issues , please let me know. The PASS/FAIL display has conditional formatting in cell L6.

I wanted to understand the linking of sheet 3 with the pie graph. Where you have created data labels and used formula's vlookup with the new data labels. I also wanted to understand Index and Match formula usage in the chart.

I wanted to track employees who are taking unscheduled leaves combined with their weekly offs.


Like for eg:


Emp 1 taking Sick leave and the next day is his weekly off..now how do I calculate the series of unscheduled leave events for all the months.


Please advise.

Formatting Data Labels: This is an abbreviated version of the CONCATENATE function.

This =A4&CHAR(10)&B4 states

Combine A4, a paragraph mark, and then B4

I am working on the leave data set..I need help tracking the unscheduled absenteeism in the data. How can I calculate the recurrence of unscheduled absenteeism keeping holidays in mind.

For eg: In the given data I need to calculate the person going on sick which is unscheduled followed by his regular off. I want to calculate the instances of the person taking unscheduled leaves followed by his regular offs..can you please help..
