Creating drop down list that is contingent on a value in another cell (column)

I'm trying to set up a drop down list where there are two sources and depending on the value shown in Column A cell the respective data source is chosen/made available in the drop down list in a cell of Columne B... i.e.

******

if Cell A9 shows value of L then Cell B10 shows drop down list from data range A1:A5,if Cell A9 shows value of S then CEll B10 shows drop down list from data range B1:B5.

******

I tried pulling up relevant post but couldn't find anything that goes to next stage as I described above.

Any help with creating this formula will be much appreciated.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for and problem solved!!! I guess being knew it will take me some practice navigating and knowing what key words to use to search for posts.

Thanks again.

Please help me in....

If Cells in "B" column is >0, then respective "O" column has to prompt user to enter Text or to select from List of Values available.

Is this possible?
