Hearty Congratulations, Narayan.

You and SirJB7 account for whopping 16.34% messages on this forum. Which also means rest 10732 members have posted 83.65%. Quite an incredible statistic.

But then it has been famously said:
Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital.

It is quality of your posts and sincere efforts which make you incredible ninja.

Best wishes for your future milestones.

Note:= I used the board statistics from the main forum page.

Hi to all of you ( Misra , Vijay , Deb , Patnaik , Faseeh and Shrivallabha ) ,

Thank you for your congratulations , some of them very colourful.

All of you are also answerers , and you will agree that it is the question posters , and the quality of their questions which makes us want to be contributors ; if I have crossed 7000 posts , even at an average of 5 posts per thread , and each thread is from a different person , that is 1400 other people who have contributed to this achievement ! To all of them , thanks.

I have earlier remarked privately to Hui , that the number of posts is not a measure of contributions but just another number ; I was amazed when I first saw that Aladin Akyurek who is a regular contributor on MrExcel , has crossed at the last count , 61200 posts !

Just as an interesting aside , yesterday I read this :

Hi Bob ,

Thanks ; when I see that I became a member in , as far back as October 2011 , then 7000 does not seem such a awesome milestone ; nowadays I generally try to answer the easy ones , if there are any ; the difficult ones earlier were being taken care of by Sajan and Haseeb ; nowadays , Misra has stepped in !

Thanks Narayan Sir for mentioning my name. You are very generous person, few among I met (not personally). A GREAT MOTIVATOR. Keep sharing your knowledge. Your formulas and approach had changed a lot in my attitude towards approaching a problem.

Regards,

Hi Narayan Sir, many many congratulations.

It's not just the (awesome) excel solutions you provide, the way you communicate with Forum members is just awesome.

I may not be wrog if I say, you are a role model for many of us. Good night.

P.S. - @Faseeh , just 10 more to 2K. :)

Hi Narayan

Norie on theExcelForum has 64,845 posts. His title - Board Regular - a great lesson in not judging a book by its cover. On the Tom Ogilvy post Narayan, good spot, he is and continues to be, my idol. I watched in awe as I was learning XL this guy was just slaying it on forums everywhere. So one day a few years ago I got up the gumption to write to him and say thanks and I attempted to share some of my respect for him. He was gregarious and engaging. He shared some very intimate information which I don't think he would mind me repeating.

Tom was in the Pentagon when it got hit by flight 77. Some of his friends perished that day. He is a teacher by trade and still killing it on www.allexperts.com where he is the most highly rated expert. I have deep respect for this good hearted man with supreme XL knowledge, wish more posters including myself had his poise and genuine diplomacy.

Take care mate

Smallman
