Cell showing the formula instead of result/ F9

Hello to all,

I have a worksheet. when I put VLookUp function,it only shows the formula itself in the cell, I hit F9, it gives me a result, but I have long range and I can't go cell by cell and press F9. When I select the whole range and press F9, but F9 is not functioning when I select a range instead of a cell.

Goto Data, Calculations and set Calculation to Automatic

Did you checked your Calculation Option.. !!

Formula > Calculation Option > Set Automatic..


BTW; Shift + F9 is used for complete Sheet's Calculation..

Hi GGGG,


Try the following steps:


1. Select your range


2. Press Ctrl + H (For find and replace window)


3. Enter = (Equal to sign) on both Find what and Replace with textboxes


4. Hit Replace all.
