Average Rating with two values in percentage and one in number

Thomas Kuriakose

Active Member
Respected Sirs,

We started to provide ratings to users based on the following -

1. Quantity - No of operations completed in a week (based on weekly data) - Percentage
2. Quality - No of operations completed with quality (based on weekly data) - Percentage

3. There are two parameters here - No. of notifications received and No of notifications issued. I am not able to figure out how to use these two values to arrive at a percentage.

Once we have the percentage value for 3, we need to get the average percentage value for a user.

Kindly let me know how we can go about to get this, the volume of data is very low. This is the only data we have.

Thank you very much,

with regards,
thomas

Can you please clarify

In G2 you say Cells A2 and B2, do you mean B2 and C2?

How do the Issued and Notifications affect the average?

Should F2 be: =B2*C2* Modifying factor based on Notifications ?

Respected Sir,

Apologies for the error in G2, yes the correct reference is B2 and C2

Sir, for the average, one example is a user will have good rating for Quantity and Quality, but as he is not proactive for issuing notifications, the overall average rating will be affected by this value. But, I am failing to get a logic here.

Yes, F2 can be as you have suggested.

Thank you very much once again,

with regards,
thomas

Hey Thomas,

I suggest, please give weightage (1 to 5) to every column ("Quantity","Quality","Received Notifications","Issued Notifications").

For an example
For Column Quantity & Quality
0% to 20% - 1
20% to 50% 2 and so on

same on Received Notifications & Issued Notifications
0 to 2 - 1
2 to 5 - 2 and so on

Then perform calculation on weightage output

formula should be
=AVERAGE(weightage output )/5*100 if you want result in 100
