Aany help for this one?

Hi,

Just wanted to know..if some keys are here, I always have to type COMPLETE FORMULE like=vlookup, =sumif...I was wondering if we have some key combination ..where we can just select the particular one, and use it, instead of manually typing it?

I think you are referring to the ability for Excel to show you a list of possible functions as you type

eg: you type =Su and excel drops down a list of functions starting with SU, like Sum, Sumproduct Sumif, Sumifs etc

I thought this was enabled by default, but might be wrong

To enable it goto File, Options, Formulas

Tick Formula AutoComplete

As you enter a formula or edit a formula you can toggle this on by using the Alt Down Arrow

Hi, old chippy, hui,

I am aware of this..but the thing is again I have to click on FX to get it..for example . If I type =V....all formulae with =v comes up..now if I want to get =varpa, I have to either type or click on Fx (next to varpa)..isnt something like this possible where I can scroll keys down to =varpa , and then press enter to get it and then add arguments?

When you start typing a Formula, say =v

a pop-down validation list of possible formulas will appear,

Use the arrow keys or mouse to select an item and press Tab
