what did I turn on?

Help! I pressed some button combination, and it made an area appear between my formula bar and my cells. What is it, and how can I make it go away?


It has a 1 and a 2 in little squares at the right side, and if I click them they make a blank area appear/disappear with a plus/minus sign. (Is there an easy way I could send a screenshot?)

Sounds like you have hit the combo keys for grouping.If you goto Outline in the data tapb and ungroup

Aha! It was an outline, you're right. Turned off now. Thanks!
