Want to Learn how to develop SPC chart.

Hi All

I want to learn to design SPC Charts, my friends say it all based on formulas, add a start date, and number of days, which will populate the date column and then add your figures in and it will calculate everything.

I am not sure where to start does anyone has a basic example with dummy data and formulas I can use to design one?

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

SPC Charts are simple Line or Scatter charts that have a Date as the X axis and then a number of series for the Data and Control Limits

Start by setting out the data as I have just described

Then select all the data including headings

Add a Line or Scatter Chart

Then format the lines as appropriate

If you attach a sample file here we can give more targetted advice
