Vlookup no matter what type of format

Hi, Can you guys help me with a formula to get some like vlookup but no matter what cell format or getting any format in cells?

I have general format in source, but cells contain numbers and numbers with letter

My default is to use Index/Match when the data type is unsorted and variable

Couldn't agree more with Hui
Besides I never use VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH is much better ( and often faster in large sheets)
