VLOOKUP help

I'm trying to use a VLOOKUP funtion and having issues getting it to work. I have a column of product skus and I want to do a VLOOKUP into another sheet to grab the cost. In the other sheet I have 2 columns the sku and the cost.

used: VLOOKUP(A2,SHEET2 COLUMN A2, A3, not sure what to put)

A2 in the first and second sheet is the sku
A3 in the second sheet is the cost

I'm not sure how to set this function up correct to search and match the skus then return the cost for that matched sku

PLEASE HELP!!!

Sorry just realized it needs to be

VLOOKUP(A2, TABLE with sku and cost, 2, false)

with 2 being the column cost is in but I get an error about a circular reference and it doesnt work

got it...when I was switching between sheets it was adding that sheet to the formula opps
