Viewing Chart data with mouse roll over

Sam Patterson

New Member
Hi and thank you in advance

I have created a column chart displaying two sets of information. The Value axis is labelled tonnes and shows amount in tonnes and the category axis is labelled months and target and shows the amount in stock for each week of each month and also a comparison stock target amount.

When the mouse is hovered over either of the columns the tonnage is shown in the pop up for the specific month or target for that period.

The problem I am having is that this is fine for all the columns on the chart starting at the left side of the chart i.e. Target and 01 Oct and working right up to week beginning 28th January, but the last few weeks information up to the end of April is not shown when the mouse is hovered over the columns.

Help!

Hi Sam Patterson,

I assumed you must have used some sort of VBA code defining this mouse event so please upload the sample file that will help people solve your problem.

Hi, Sam Patterson!

As one of the authors of the involved links I know it's not an easy topic, so just advise if any issue.

Hi All

Sorry I have not got back to you sooner but have been in bed with a bad cold.

I have since discovered that letting the spreadsheet run for a while on the PC will allow the values from 28th January to April (i.e.left to right on the screen)to be displayed on mouse roll over. I do not know why but it works the PC is fairly new so it should not be slow at any processing.

Thanks for all and any future help and suggestions

Sam
