Validating Date and Copying Adjacent Cell Value to another Sheet

Hello All

I am trying to develop a report (sheet name) based on "Order Total" sheet. User select year from drop down menu in F4 Cell from "Report". An adjacent cell value shall be copied to "Report" in appropriate month cell for selected year. For example: In Range Starting from A4 onward cells in "Order Total" I want to check that against year selected in "Report" and in corresponding month cell, I want to copy adjacent cell value.


Following values from Schedule:

Mar-12 1

Apr-12 2


Shall be copied to "Report" in appropriate cell, for reference these values are entered directly.


I am not very good at Excel but learning everyday something new. I can validate date column but unable to copy adjacent cell value to "Report". Please let me know if someone can provide a solution?

Thank you, Narayan. I am not sure what link to following to download the file. I can only view the file from the link above. Could you please let me know, where I can download that file. Also, I forgot to mention in my initial post that I am using Excel 2003. So solution needs to work in Excel 2003.
