Using non-uniform rows

I have a sheet with non-uniform rows, that is there are some records that are repeated in multiple rows in the first column. This is because each record has one or more additional descriptor(s) in the next column. Now, what I'd like to do is take the descriptors and transpose them into a single cell, essentially making the sheet a one record-one row format.

How do I do this? Thank you. BTW great forum.
