Trying to make a macro work..

Hi,
I am trying to create a macro on an xlsm file.
But every single time i try to assign the macro i get this error

Formula is too complex to be assigned to the object.

Do you know how i can fix this?

Please advise. And thanks in advance.

Can you make a sample file with the data and the formula that you are trying to replicate?

Or simply post the formula here?
 
Try removing any [ or ] characters from file names
ie: Save the file with a new name not including any special characters
 
Oh my! It actually worked. I had the file in a folder that started [DATA]....and when I changeD the name, and saved it in another folder it worked.
