Trouble aligning charts from tabs on transparencies

I have several charts on separate tabs that require monthly updates and printing onto transparencies to be overlaid. I have ensured that all plot areas are the same size by entering the dimensions manually. However, they are not lined up on each worksheet so they do not line up when stacked. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and, if so, how to accomplish it? Thank you.

I'd make sure column widths are all the same, and then when you are moving the charts hold down the Alt button so that chart "snaps" to align with the cells. That would be my best guess for getting them all on same alignment.

Thanks, Luke. The charts are on separate worksheets. I made all column widths the same on the data worksheet, but it had no bearing on the chart alignment.

Which alignment is off? The chart object, or the plot area? If the former, you can best align that by aligning to cell heights and column widths. If the latter, I'd try to expand all the plot areas to max size, so that they use the chart object size as a reference. Maybe upload a quick pic showing what's wrong/off?

You can use the technique that Luke described for Select and Dragging using the Alt Keys on the Chart area and the plot area

So setup the columns on all worksheets to be the same width

Then On each Chart Select the Chart, then select the Plot Area
(The Plot Area is the inner Rectangle that contains the actual chart data, inside the Axis)
Drag the left/Right sides to the Column Boundaries and the Plot area will snap to those borders
