Although we have fairly sophisticated Excel ODBC reporting from the SQL tables of our ERP system, we are running into instability because of the amount of data we are bringing in for analysis. The spreadsheets are huge and get bogged down.
Can A pivot table utilize data that is not actually within the workbook? Can it query the underlying tables and just present the data pivot in the spreadsheet?
If not, what kind of tool am I looking for here?
