to highlight row and not just cell

Hi folks, I’ve been using conditional formatting to highlight a cell when it contains a certain text. what I would like to do is highlight the whole row….so,

I import data from one sheet and it sits in range B5:K46. Is there a macro code I could use to automate that:

If any text in Row I has “RT” in it, it will highlight the whole row from B5 to K5 in dark blue with white font and not just I5. it will then do this for any other row where “RT” is in the cell it highlights that row also.

I’ve searched the site but can’t find a macro code that could work.

You're writing about “RT” ... four characters or just those two capital letters... RT?
If some cells has text ART - do that match for You?
Are those “RT” in I-column ... as You've written?
Is there any other macros or so in Your file?
Could You send a sample Excel-file, which shows exact ... what are You looking for?

Thanks for the reply. I have attached a Sample file for,you. It is RT on the text only. In I7 and I10 it just highlights the singke cell. What I’d like it to do is highlight the whole row B-K in Blue with white font on any row where RT appears.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I’m on a mobile device at moment so can’t see it working. Will check when I get home but that looks perfect to me. Will it do the highlight for any row in column I in range B5:K46.

The formatting worked perfectly. What I didn’t explain fully was that the cell containing “RT” would also contain a number. I assumed it would pick up RT even if other text was in there. I had to move this column as you can see in the attached workbook but the formula still worked once I amended the formula in your conditioning format rule you kindly inserted. As you can also see when numbers appear alongside the RT text the rule stops. This rule range could be anything from “RT10” up to “RT70”. Is it possible to do this?

Ps - can i pay you in anyway for your help, it really is appreciated.
