to get unique values

I have a column of values, but values are repeated, I only need on value of each category and I I have 3 columns and I need only one value of each. I did advance filter. When I do advance filter for the first column, and copy it to a different location, then I do the same thing for the second column, then the values in column 1 doesn't have its corresponding value from second column. For example in source I have a and b in two columns and when I do advanced filter, it become a and c, which is not correct.
