The time you have entered is in TEXT Format, hence a TEXT can not be added up

The first thing to be done is to convert the data that you have into correct time data ; preferably this should be done in the raw data sheet so that all further processing is based on valid time values.
See the attached file. You need to decide what is to be done with missing data , where either In time or Out time is not entered , since in its absence , no calculations can be done.
