Text or Number to Column Function needed?

i want to function like this:
A1 = 370001 - B1=3, C1=7, D1=0, E1=0, F1=0, G1=1
or
A1 = aPPu - B1=a, C1=P, D1=P, E1=u

is this possible with function like =texttoc(A1)

Hope! You are doing something wrong as MID is supported in xl>=2000.

There is nothing in those formula that wont work in 2003
In 2003 press F9 to recalculate

If it still isn't working what are you seeing?
