Maybe.....

1] Sum only positive numbers :

=IF($A2="","",SUMIFS(DATA!$B:$B,DATA!$A:$A,$A2,DATA!$B:$B,">0"))

2] Sum only negative numbers :

=IF($A2="","",SUMIFS(DATA!$B:$B,DATA!$A:$A,$A2,DATA!$B:$B,"<0"))
