Stacked bar chart alongside normal bar chart

I am trying to create a graph with a stacked bar(3 different segments) alongside a regular bar for comparison on one chart.

I am not sure how to type the information into the columns to accomplish this.

I can make a stand alone stacked bar chart but have no idea how to combine both on one graph.

I am using the most recent version of Microsoft Office and am not very familiar with it. I have tried the select data tab and add series buttons but it just wants to add another layer on top of the already existing bar chart instead of alongside of it.

I am trying to illustrate how different social security policies change revenues expressed as a percentage of GDP.....if you were curious.

thanks for any input ahead of time

If you have 4 pieces of data A, B, C, D

Arrange your data so that th values for A-C are in 1 column and D is in a different column

eg:

[pre]
Code:
a	10
b	20
c	30
d 15
[/pre]
Select the area and Insert Chart

Select series D and change to Secondary Axis

Select series A-C and change so that it is a stack column

adjust axis scales to suit
