Split cell in Excel 2016

In the attached file I am trying to use Excel to create the layout of a piano keyboard with the white keys and also the black keys (sharps and flats). To get the black keys positioned properly, I need to find a way to take the row above row 8, and shift the cells to the left or right not by a complete cell but by half the width of any cell (all cells are squares).

As an example, look at A# (sharp). For now I inserted a textbox and typed in A# to show what the cell should look like. The left border of A# is at half the width of the 'A' cell. The right border is also positioned at half the width of the 'B' cell.

Is this possible?
