Split and freeze window

Hi

What I would like is to split the window in half horizontally. Then only allow the bottom half to scroll horizontally.

The idea is to have a chart in the top half which is always visible and the data table in the bottom half which stretches horizontally.

Only excel 2003 is available

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Dave

From Memory you need to select the row below where you would like the "split" then select Window > Freeze panes.

I hope this helps

Cheers

Good day Dave

Select a row, say 20 and then go to freeze pane, the scroll bar will only scroll from 21 down

Thank you both, however I need to prevent the top section form scrolling horizontally. whilst still allowing the bottom section to scroll horizontally.

Can't be done with a single window. Closest you could do would be to create a new window of same workbook ( I believe in 2003 it's under Window - New Window? Not sure...)

Then, arrange windows horizontally. It works the same as having two workbooks, but you've got 2 different views of the same thing. If you need to keep it like that, you could save the whole thing as a workspace (rather than just a workbook).
