Hello,
Is it possible to undo a sorting after it was applied, Just like in filtering?
And also,
the Reapply option, when is it come in use? I have tried to use it but with no response.

TY!

Hi,

Hmmm... It's sounds strange because as written on the Excel 2007 support page: "Once you have filtered or sorted data in a range of cells or table column, you can either reapply a filter or sort to get up-to-date results, or clear a filter to redisplay all of the data."

https://support.office.com/en-us/ar...a-filter-9703ce39-a11a-4ff6-b3fb-f068747f59a6

Could you please describe step by step what are you doing exactly?

Hi,
In the file aatached, I have filterd 2013 and 2014, and when I press the Reapply command, nothing happens.

TY

Hi ,

First regarding a Sort.

A Sort using the menu options in the Ribbon is like any other Excel user operation using the User Interface ; it can be undone using Undo or pressing the CTRL Z keys combination.

Clicking on the Clear button in the Ribbon removes all filters which had been applied.

The ReApply command comes into the picture only if you have already applied a Filter , and thereafter added data ; this new data might or might fall in the criteria using which the filter has been applied.

In order to have the already applied filter now apply to the freshly added data , you click on the ReApply button , which now applies the filter to the extended range , inclusive of the added data.

If no new data has been added , the ReApply command does nothing extra.
