I am trying to make a formula that will check a number in a cell to see which range it falls in(ex 1-100, 101-200, etc) and then multiply it by a value corresponding to the range it is in. For example, if the number is 55, then it would look at the range and multiply it by .98 for any number between 1-100.

Uploaded what I am working on... Basically I need the formula for cell K7 to look at the value in D7 then compare to the Solo Rev Scale in P column and return the value of the corresponding value in Q column

The D/H in the solo rev column is not needed. That is just the number used to multiply C7 to get the result in G7. Disregard the D/H in the red shaded area

Montrey or anybody that can fix. What am I doing wrong in the $/gallon and MPG column? File attached

Hi Tony ,

I am not sure what your problem is ; see your file now and comment.

Secondly , there is no need to use the SUM function , unless you have more than one cell which needs to be summed up ; thus :

=SUM(C7*N14)

is the same as :

=C7*N14

since there is no addition involved anywhere.
