I am trying to make a sheet to put a clean volume at start of each event. The problem is it needs to go from start event to start event or from start event to finish event and there can be multiple event in between that don't need to part of the clean stage volume. The only words that will be same in each line is Start or Finish. I have attached an example of what I am talking about if anybody can help me think of a way to make this work. If anybody has a suggestion I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick ,

Can you explain in a little more detail ?

You have the following events in column A :

Row 2 : Start Injection

Row 4 : Start
Row 5 : Non Start

Row 9 : Start
Row 10 : Start

Can you explain which of these form a part of the Clean Stage Volume , and which do not ?

Narayan

Sure

A clean volume is the the difference between the slurry volume between two event. The event are defined by the word start or finish. A cell that start with anything else I want to be excluded.

Hi Patrick ,

OK. In that case , the start event is in Row 2 with Start Injection ; should any value appear against this ?

Will the values that appear against each event be as follows :

Row 4 : Start --------- : 193.86
Row 5 : Non Start ---- : 155.00

Row 9 : Start --------- : 145.00
Row 10 : Start ------- : 97.36
Row 11 : Finish ------- : 200.00

Narayan

Not exactly, I updated the excel file a bit to make it more clear

Row 2: 200
Row 4: 300
Row 9: 100
Row 10: 200
Row 11: 0

Thank you for helping me out
