Select Chart Hack - Also Assign a Name to a Picture

Hi All,


1st time poster but will be an avid reader now I've found you...


OK, I have looked at Chandoo's select-chart-to-display "hack" and I can sort of understand it's logic, and it's so what I need. However, I can't duplicate the work.


When I import a picture I can't assign a named range to it as I can't click in the formula box (I can on the downloaded example file). I've predefined a name in advance if that makes any difference.


It's Excel 2007.


I hope that makes sense.

Rather than importing a picture, try drawing a simple shape (like a rectanlge). You can then edit the formula bar, and it will work the same way.
