Scatter chart creation with labels

JulieB

New Member
I would like to create a scatter chart where the labels show up instead of the dots. I have a matrix where the labels are in column 1, then the x coordinates in column 2, and the Y coordinates in column 3. The coordinates are all integers.
I would make the grid large enough to accommodate the labels, and would like the option to left justify or center them.
Thank you for your help.

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

Setup a Scatter chart as normal
then add the labels
Then set the fill of the Chart Line and Markers to None
If the labels are too big, change the X Axis Min/Max by a little bit +/- 0.5

If you have some real data posting a sample file allows us to give you a more targetted response

Hui, I downloaded the attached file, but where you show "Label 1", "Label2", etc. , I get [CELLRANG E]. I don't know how to select the data labels that I want.
Thank you again for your help.
