kindly give me some ideas how i make an attractive dashboard with this data

This is one of the more asked questions with an answer that unfortunately you may not like


The answer depends on what story you are trying to tell or what story you should be telling.


If you have been asked to make a Dashboard you need to go back and ask what the people receiving the dashboard want to see?


Do you want to focus on Sales per Period (Month / Yr)

Sales per Region

Sales per Salesman


Or a combination of the above


Are you looking for trends in sales or snapshots possibly against budget or estinmates


As you can see there is no simple answer as it depends on what your business requires.


Talk to Snr Managers and find out whjat is important to them, their KPI's of the business

Then what data measures make up those KPI's and how are they trending?


Initially you may just want to play with Pivot tables/charts and produce lots of snap shots of various views and see what the managers want/ like

this is a dummy data and I am practicing for preparing dashboards, in my current job, i prepare only reports using functions and pivots, my senior make dashboard reports, i got various ideas from you and learning now very fast, thank you, in this case, i made a pivot in which rep and items are in row labels, regions are in column labels and total is in value fields, now i will analyze it according to your trick of analyzing large tables of data....

can i analyze it using same trick ?
