Return value assoc. with known?

If the user selects a value in D27 from the dropdown in the attached worksheet, I want the correlating value from column I to populate in I27. Rows 1-26 are hidden in the finished worksheet. As you can see, I've started writing a formula with an IF statement as that's the extent of my capabilities but quickly learned that probably wasn't the best route to take (or is it?). Could I possibly get some help with the appropriate formula? Thank you.

I was going to suggest a vlookup but Narayan's formula is probably more precise.

Narayan, thank you for the awesomely quick response and while I'm sure it works perfectly, I cannot get it to do so and I'm equally as sure it's because I don't know what I'm doing.... Could you possibly please explain to me the steps of the formula? I have never been exposed to ISNA, match or index but am eager to learn. Thx again, Hank.

Actually, I was able to figure it out. I established the names for the ranges and everything worked. Thanks so much for the help!
