Return sum of range from other file

Hi,


I can't find the right formula for my problem.

I have two files: File A and File B

In File A is a column with Id numbers

In File B is a column with ID numbers and to the right columns with transactioncodes.

When a transactioncode is active for an ID number there is a "1" in the cell below the transaction code.


What do I want:

I want the sum of the transactioncodes that have a "1" returned in column B of File A

can you explain it little more? I m confused why you have used the range F9:V9 in sum if to get 106

The range is E9:V9

Formula used: =SUMIF(E9:V9,1,E4:V4)


When it sees "A25S" in File B

It has to total E9*E4+F8*F4 etc till V9*V4 in column B of File A

etc etc
